How incontinence orders arrive: boxes, labels and privacy

Orders of incontinence products arrive in one of two ways, depending on the product. Items tagged Ships via Amazon come in an Amazon box, usually in 2 to 4 business days, and other items come from our own suppliers in a plain, unmarked box, usually in 3 to 5 business days. We ship within Canada only, and this guide covers what that means for privacy in a condo, a shared mailroom or an order sent to a parent's address.

Two ways orders ship

How an item ships depends on the product, and you can tell which way applies before you buy.

  • Ships via Amazon: delivered by Amazon, in an Amazon box. The product page says Ships via Amazon.
  • Shipped from our own suppliers: delivered in a plain, unmarked box. This applies to items that do not carry the Ships via Amazon tag.

Both kinds sit side by side in our catalogue. For example, Poise Pads for Women, Maximum Absorbency, Long, 84 Count is tagged Ships via Amazon, while Attends Overnight Briefs, X-Large ships from our suppliers. The Ships via Amazon collection lists the items that ship the first way. Tags can change, so the product page is the place to confirm it. If the kind of box matters to you, check before you add an item to your basket.

What the box looks like

An Amazon box looks like any other Amazon delivery. The box from our own suppliers is plain and unmarked. Either kind has to carry a shipping label, and the label shows the name and address you entered at checkout.

Think about size as well. Briefs and protective underwear are light but bulky, so a large count or a case makes a big box. If your building uses parcel lockers, or the box has to go up stairs, a smaller count per order can be easier to receive, even if it means ordering more often.

Delivery times within Canada

Ships via Amazon items usually arrive in 2 to 4 business days. Items from our suppliers usually arrive in 3 to 5 business days. Business days leave out weekends and holidays, so an order placed late in the week can take longer on the calendar than the window suggests, and winter weather can slow carriers in parts of the country.

A basket that holds both kinds of items can arrive as separate parcels on different days. Plan around the longer window, and order before you are down to your last few products.

We ship within Canada only, so an address outside the country will not work.

Condos, concierges and shared mailrooms

  • Ask your building how parcels are handled: a concierge desk, a parcel room, lockers or delivery to the door. Some buildings log each parcel at the front desk, so it helps to know the routine before you order.
  • Put your suite number, buzzer code and a phone number on the order so the carrier does not leave the parcel in the wrong place.
  • A concierge who takes in parcels handles the closed box and reads the label on it. If that matters to you, choose items by the way they ship, as set out above.
  • If the mailroom is small or shared, time your order so the delivery window does not fall while you are away, and collect the parcel promptly.
  • Before the empty box goes to a shared recycling room, remove the shipping label, since it shows your name and suite.

Sending an order to someone else's address

You can order for a parent or relative and have it sent to their address in Canada. A few details make it go smoothly:

  • Tell them roughly when to expect it and what is in it, so a box does not sit unnoticed on a porch.
  • Enter their full name, suite, buzzer code and a phone number that reaches them.
  • Use the email address of whoever should receive the order updates.
  • Agree who will carry the box in and where the products will be stored, especially if stairs or lifting are an issue.
  • If they would rather not have a parcel arrive at their door, send it to your own address and bring it over.
  • Involve them in the choices where you can. It is their order too.

Shipping cost and the free-shipping threshold

Standard shipping is a flat charge, and orders that reach the free-shipping threshold ship free. All amounts are in Canadian dollars. Both figures can change, so check the cart for the current shipping charge before you pay.

If your basket sits just under the free-shipping line, adding something you will use anyway, such as wipes or underpads, can make more sense than paying for shipping, but do not buy what you will not use. The box goes with the product. If you want one kind only, build your basket from items that ship that way, using the Ships via Amazon tag on each product page to tell them apart.

Do you ship outside Canada?

No. We ship within Canada only, and prices are in Canadian dollars.

What should I do if a parcel is late?

Check the delivery window for that type of item first, remembering that business days skip weekends and holidays. If the window has passed, send us the order number through the contact page.
